CHARACTERIZATION AND VALUATION OF INDUSTRIAL THERMAL DISCHARGES

Although, since the early 1980s, industrial thermal discharges have been valued in Western Europe, the long-standing positive energy situation in North America in general, and particularly in Quebec, was not inciting companies and socio-economic development actors to engage in such pathways. However, since the beginning of the mid-2000’s, the evolution of several contextual factors has significantly changed how the valorization of industrial thermal waste as alternative thermal energy is being perceived. Since its creation in 2000, INNOVAGRO Consultants has always been actively involved in the development of this energy approach and has been a pioneer in the Saint-Félicien Agro-thermal Park project in Quebec.

Our presentation of the Agro-thermal Park of the City of Saint-Félicien prepared for the 2017 conference of the Union des Municipalités du Québec (UMQ).

As a municipal project, the Agro-thermal Park of the City of Saint-Félicien was presented with the "Ovation Municipale" award as well as the "Maurice Beaubien" award.
